Meant
Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 5, 2026
Meant (“Meant,” “we,” “us”) helps you remember the people you meet and follow up with them. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Meant mobile app and the website at www.meantfor.ai.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to provide the service:
- Account information you give us — your name, email address, phone number, company, and job title.
- Content you create in Meant — the contacts you add, the notes and voice notes you record (and their transcriptions), and the follow-up message drafts you generate.
- Google Calendar data — only if you choose to connect your calendar. When you connect Google Calendar, we read your calendar events: their titles, dates and times, locations, attendees, and any video-conferencing links. We do not access any other Google data.
Google Calendar access is read-only
When you connect Google Calendar, Meant requests a single, read-only permission — the calendar.events.readonly scope. We use it only to view your event details. We never create, modify, or delete events on your calendar, and we request no broader access than this feature requires. Connecting your calendar is optional, and you can disconnect it at any time (see below).
How we use your information
We use your information solely to provide and improve Meant for you — specifically to:
- Log the meetings on your calendar and tag the people you meet to your contacts.
- Help you track relationships, remember context, and follow up at the right time.
- Operate, secure, and support the service.
We do not use your calendar data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with third parties — except with the infrastructure providers that run Meant on our behalf (under confidentiality obligations) or where required by law.
Google API Services Limited Use
Meant’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only request the scopes needed to provide the calendar feature, and we use Google user data only to provide and improve that user-facing feature.
How we store and protect your data
Data is encrypted in transit. The access tokens that let Meant read your calendar are encrypted at rest and are accessible only to the backend systems that perform the calendar sync — never to other users, and never written to our logs.
Disconnecting and revoking access
You can revoke Meant’s access to your Google Calendar at any time:
- In the Meant app, open Settings → Integrations and tap Disconnect. Disconnecting deletes the calendar access tokens we stored for you.
- You can also revoke access from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing hello@meantfor.ai. On request, we delete your data, including any stored calendar information and tokens.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email.
